Umarell presents Terminal, a site-specific installation by artist Garry Williams featuring an immersive, labyrinthine experience.

Rooted in an autobiographical landscape, the exhibition draws on childhood memories of scrapyard visits in the 1980s, when Williams and his brother played Starsky & Hutch among the wrecks while their father scavenged parts to repair cars for cash. These recollections of lost freedoms and stubborn perseverance, alongside the artist's contemporary reclamation of labour on his own terms, lay the foundations of the show.

The centrepiece of the installation is a large-scale model constructed from thousands of hand-crafted paper car shells rendered in charcoal. Alongside this monolithic structure, atmospheric black-and-white photographs offer an intimate view from within the stacks, inviting viewers to drift between object and image, time and scale, suspended between future dissolution and a present already in decay.
