Since the spring of 2024, documentary photographer Andrea Gjestvang has traveled to Ukraine to document the often overlooked everyday struggle unfolding in wartime. While many men are sent to the front, Ukrainian women fight a different, less visible battle: they keep their families together amid uncertainty and strive to create continuity in lives marked by absence.
