The exhibition I Was There by Alireza Husseini opens on Thursday, 15 January at 6:00 PM at Fotografiens Hus.
The exhibition will be opened by Asle Olsen, curator at the Nobel Peace Center.
Through more than 80 photographs, Alireza Husseini documents and juxtaposes historical images from the Second World War with contemporary urban landscapes. Husseini captures the contrast between ruins and reconstruction, which in the project function as symbols of both the weight of history and the hope for a more peaceful future
