The exhibition "Queer folk dress" is shown for the first time in Oslo. In the exhibition, contemporary artists explore and challenge costume traditions, identity, and craft practices. The result is both a tribute and an act of rebellion. On Thursday, October 23, it opens at the Intercultural Museum in Grønland.

On the opening night, we invite you to a conversation between the artists Rafiki and Márjá Karlsen, both of whom are participating in "Queer folk dress", and Sayed Sattar Hasan, the artist behind Hasansen’s Factory. How do traditions, craftsmanship, and cultural heritage shape their art? And how does this connect to identity and belonging across cultures?

Doors open at 6 PM with light refreshments and the opportunity to see the new exhibition "Queer folk dress" and visit Hasansen’s Factory. The artist talk begins at 6:30 PM. Free admission.
