Location: Oslo S, airport express terminal
In “Bruttonasjonalprodukt”, Einar Grinde looks at Oslo S as a place where value is created. Each day, the station serves as a transit point for people commuting, an essential cog in the GDP machine. Here, the abstract concept of gross domestic product materialises in bodies, movements, and rhythms.
Historically, the horse was a driving force in the economy – in agriculture, industry, and transport. Today, it appears more as an aesthetic symbol or a luxurious pursuit. At Oslo S, Grinde places the horse and public within the same field of play: we, too, are in transit – woven into structures that propel us forward, delay us, and sustain us.
In 2026, Kunstreisen celebrates its 25th anniversary, marked through jubilee exhibition at Oslo S. There will be speeches, performance, brass band music, coffee and cake.
