Welcomes to the opening on Thursday, August 6th, 6-8 pm:

Halvor Rønning shows paintings where overpainted magazine clippings are printed on painted canvases. Overpainting is an iconoclastic maneuver that rejects the content of the magazines.

Nora Joung explores how the printing press has contributed to the distribution of information, culture and ideas. In her drawings and video work, interests in birdwatching and the history of printmaking are interlaced.

The duo Nayara Leite & Kaeto Sweeney creates a space where song and music are both narrative and act of resistance. They explore how intimate, embodied experience are politicised within media landscapes shaped by the far right.

Olaf T. Hodne examines the format and materiality of jewelry, and how it can detach itself from the wearer. On view are a hanging sculpture of 170 amethysts, and an installation of pendants and brooches resembling body parts.
