In Roland Barthes’ short text on pachinko, the arcade appears as a space suspended between work and leisure, structured by repetition, modest rewards and an absorbed, collective solitude, where the gesture carries more weight than the outcome.

The exhibition brings together artists from different generations and geographical contexts, and examines how this logic is carried forward in contemporary image cultures and economies of attention. Through video, photography, textiles, painting and object-based works, it addresses surveillance, display and value, as well as the unstable boundary between seeing and being seen.
