An Architecture of Chronic Illness (ArChro)
Anna Ulrikke Andersen, Jos Boys, Rachel Siobhán Tyler, Liza Walling, Trond Lossius, Therese Næss DiesenHow do people with chronic illnesses experience the architecture where they receive treatment? How can these subjective narratives tell us something about larger issues in society? An Architecture of Chronic Illness: A Critical Exploration of Bodies and Buildings from Post-War to Post-Pandemic (ArChro) is an interdisciplinary project with strong roots in artistic development work. ROM is a proud partner in this multi-year research project, which explores the intersections between welfare, architecture, the body, and belonging. This fall, the ArChro project will be developed at ROM studio.
