On August 13, Snø Galleri opens the exhibition Perennis with sculptures and paintings by Yngvar Larsen. The exhibition will feature oil paintings from the new series Perennis. Which is a further exploration of the use of a simple repeating composition using a stencil, combined with great variation in execution. This series is part of Larsen's exploration of the possibility of potentially infinite series. The sculptures on display have references to China and the USA, which Larsen has lived in. The sculptures deal with the relationship to consumption and politics. Yngvar Larsen has traveled and lived outside Norway for long periods, including Ghana, China, the USA, the Netherlands and Belgium. This experience has left its mark on how he works conceptually with the different themes he addresses in his art.
