Opening: Anawana Haloba, «I want to tell you something»
This exhibition presents a broad selection of works by the Zambian-Norwegian artist Anawana Haloba. She creates multi-media installations that appeal to all the senses, and she also challenges audiences to reflect. Many of her works address current discussions about war and injustice. Colonial history is a recurring topic in her artistic practice. In several works she investigates oral traditions of Southern Africa, where the voice, language and musical heritage are central.
Light refreshments will be served. The age limit is 18.
The event is free. No ticket is needed, but you are advised to arrive early to secure a spot. Entrance is on a first come, first served basis.
