Bærum Kunsthall (BK) is an artist-run exhibition space for national and international contemporary art, established in 2014. We present uncompromising art by both established and emerging artists. Our program combines curated exhibitions with exhibitions based on Open Calls, creating space for diverse artistic voices to be shown side by side. Bærum Kunsthall is a venue where art is encouraged to challenge, engage, and generate dialogue, with a clear ambition to make contemporary art accessible to all.
The Kunsthall is located in the former fire station at Fornebu—an area undergoing rapid development, approximately 20 minutes outside Oslo. Through an ambitious and innovative exhibition programme, BK plays an active role in shaping the identity of the local area. The Kunsthall is owned by Bildende kunstnere i Bærum (BKiB), and receives support from Bærum Municipality, Arts Council Norway, Sparebankstiftelsen, and Akershus Municipality.
Free admission.
Open Thursday–Sunday, 12–17.
