Welcome to a debate on museums' responsibilities and role as political actors.

What responsibilities do art institutions carry when calls for solidarity arise, and how do the expectations placed on them by society and the art field shape their response?

The panel consists of Rikke Glomnes Komissar (Director of Education and Visitor Experience at The National Museum), Tone Hansen (Director of Munchmuseum), Anne Szefer-Karlsen (curator and professor at UiB) and Ane Hjort Guttu (artist and professor at KHiO). The panel is led by journalist Selma Stormyren Larsen (Klassekampen).

This event is a collaboration between Young Artists’ Society (UKS) and Kunstnernes Hus, and is free and open to all. The event is made possible by funds from Norwegian Visual Artists.
