SKY KEEPERS: INVISIBLE TALKS by Filip Matić

Filip Matić, Andrea Lange, Mathea Milković Šarić, Stefan Schröder
  • Open until 18:00

SKY KEEPERS: INVISIBLE TALKS unfolds as a temporary situation — a form of rehearsal — where memory is approached as something active, negotiable, and unfinished rather than fixed or monumental.

The project takes place over ten days (15–25 January) and combines an artist talk, a dialogue session, and photographic work. It examines how personal and collective memories are shaped within ideological structures, with a particular focus on how authority is aestheticized, normalized, and internalized through images and visual order.

The concept emerges from Filip Matić’s personal experience of growing up in former Yugoslavia, where systems of order, collectivity, and visual representation were embedded in everyday life. Rather than revisiting this context nostalgically or historically, Sky Keepers uses it as a point of departure to reflect on how such structures continue to operate in the present.

Participants are Filip Matić, Andrea Lange, Mathea Milković Šarić, and Stefan Schröder.
